The foundation is one of the friends of honour of this amateur choir founded in 1897, which enjoys extraordinary international prestige.

The Orfeón Donostiarra has over two hundred members among its sopranos, contraltos, tenors and basses. Its extensive repertoire covers over one hundred symphonic-choral compositions, over fifty operas and zarzuelas, not to mention a wide selection of folk songs and polyphonic works.

Although the pandemic has greatly reduced its agenda and international presence over the last two years, the choir regularly participates in major Spanish and European musical events (the Quincena Musical de Donostia, the Proms, Ruhrtriennale, and the Santander, Lucerne and Salzburg music festivals, etc.), in which it has shared the stage with prominent orchestras, conductors and soloists.

In 2021, it created its own cycle of classical concerts at the Auditorio Kursaal de San Sebastián, adopting the pertinent safety measures, and also performed in Burgos, Zaragoza, Madrid, Bilbao, Vitoria, Toulouse and Paris, among other cities.
