Introduction

Over the past year, Fundación Banco Santander has redoubled its commitment to the advancement of society by pursuing its main courses of action: promoting culture, supporting education, employability and entrepreneurship, and serving the needs of vulnerable communities.

In addition to putting the finishing touches on the cultural programme of Faro Santander, in preparation for its imminent opening, we organized exhibitions and activities to publicize the Bank’s art collection and published new volumes of our art, history and literature collections.

One particularly noteworthy accomplishment was the renovation of the space at the Santander Art Gallery used to display the numismatic collection, and the creation of interactive audiovisual productions that provide a better understanding of how those coins and notes have evolved through the centuries.

As part of our cultural patronage efforts, we are especially pleased to have partnered with Patrimonio Nacional on the first exhibition dedicated solely to Queen Victoria Eugenie. We are confident that this splendid show at the Royal Collections Gallery will receive the public turnout and attention it deserves.

One of our priorities this year has been actively supporting education, job placement and entrepreneurial skills. In the course of 2025, we partnered with universities, academic centres and companies to issue multiple calls for grants, awards and financial aid, thanks to which numerous individuals were able to acquire skills and start businesses in fields with the highest demand and strongest growth prospects.

All the activities outlined in this report were made possible thanks to the support of our Board of Trustees, the dedication of our team and the trust placed in us by our institutional partners. As we move into our next phase, we will continue to work towards a more inclusive and sustainable future.
