Honoré Daumier

Santander Art Gallery

FROM OCTOBER 21 - 2008 TO JANUARY 11 - 2009

On the occasion of the bicentenary of the birth of Honoré Daumier (1808-1879), the Banco Santander Foundation organised an exhibition at the Santander Art Gallery in Boadilla del Monte, curated by Gloria Moure on this prolific French cartoonist.

The exhibition featured around one hundred pieces from the Armand Hammer Museum in Los Angeles (USA), including a wealth of graphic work, canvases and drawings, reflecting the social and political moment that the artist lived through and which he conveyed magnificently through his work.
