Fundación Banco Santander and Fundación para la Conservación del Quebrantahuesos are developing a project for the recovery of this species in Picos de Europa.
The bearded vulture is one of the most threatened birds in the European Union. The project develops a work methodology that begins with the rescue of eggs/neonates in threatened nests of the Aragonese Pyrenees and concludes with the release and monitoring of the specimens that have hatched.
