Eugenio Noel, pseudonym of Eugenio Muñoz Díaz (Madrid, 1885-Barcelona, 1936) was a novelist, essayist and publicist, who dedicated his life to journalism under a socialist and republican ideology.

These two volumes present a selection of works, which show the vision that the author had of Spain, perhaps the most satisfactory within his literary production, even above his particular and honest anti-bullfighting and anti-Flemish campaign.

The person in charge of the selection of texts that make up this edition was the poet, novelist and essayist Andrés Trapiello (Manzaneda de Torío, León, 1953).
