The Banco Santander Foundation collaborates with Patrimonio Nacional in sponsoring exhibitions that showcase different historical and artistic aspects of Spain's history. Held in the temporary exhibition hall of the Royal Palace, these exhibitions highlight and bring the important cultural heritage guarded by this institution closer to the public.

La otra Corte. Mujeres de la casa de Austria en los Monasterios Reales de las Descalzas y la Encarnación is an exhibition curated by Fernando Checa that summarises the artistic, religious and political life of these two monasteries, courtly spaces of the Spanish Habsburgs. Both monasteries preserve the integrity of their architecture and their artistic treasures. Thus, Renaissance and Baroque come together in an exhibition that shows, among others, portraits of Antonio Moro, Pantoja de la Cruz, Ribera and Sánchez Coello; polychrome wood sculpture by Pedro de Mena or Gregorio Fernández and a selection of tapestries including the famous series of El triunfo de la Eucaristía by Pedro Pablo Rubens.
