Elisabeth Mulder (Barcelona, 1904-1987), a contemporary of the ‘27, began her literary career as a poet at a very early age, displaying a vehement, symbolist style that elevated her to the highest rank of her generation. However, before her thirtieth birthday she almost completely abandoned poetry to become an excellent storyteller. A creator of characters of great inner wealth, her novels and short stories were once compared to those of Somerset Maugham and Katherine Mansfield.

Sinfonía en rojo includes a sample of all the genres that Mulder cultivated, from poetry to the novel, including short stories and newspaper articles, thus completing a panoramic vision of a work of great originality and literary value.

Juan Manuel de Prada (Baracaldo, Biscay, 1970) is a writer. For almost two decades, when he included Elisabeth Mulder as a character in his book Las esquinas del aire, he has been an advocate of her work. Awarded for Las máscaras del héroe (Critical Eye Award), La tempestad (Planeta Award), La vida invisible (National Narrative Award) El séptimo velo (Biblioteca Breve Award) or El castillo de diamante (Castile and Leon Critics' Award). His press contributions have won a prestigious award, including the Mariano de Cavia Award.
