Al calor del pensamiento. Obras de la Daros Latinamerica Collection is part of the contemporary art exhibition series that we organise at the Art Gallery of Grupo Santander City. The Daros Latinamerica Collection, based in Zurich and Rio de Janeiro, began at the beginning of this century with the objective of giving visibility to Latin American artists.
Both the artists and the works featured in the Daros Latinamerica Collection are as heterogeneous as the countries they represent. This diversity also applies to the means of expression and materials: including painting, sculpture or drawing to installations, videos or sound pieces. The curators, Katrin Steffen and Hans-Michael Herzog, selected the 70 works exhibited in this exhibition, signed by 22 artists, including Carlos Amorales, Julio Le Parc, Oswaldo Maciá, Vik Muniz, Leandro Erlich or Betsabeé Romero, among others.
